Program at a glance: This particular theological plus ministry skill development program is designed for those candidates who are keenly interested in enhancing/sharpening their bible knowledge and skills, principally for church leaders or Bible-oriented social workers in the country.
This skill-based training program is in particular designed for those who cannot give their full time to the residential program in the seminary, which allows a student can be trained in their own location or settings. This program particularly focuses on training ground-level workers/pastors/ evangelists/church leaders/desiring candidates etc.
Today, equipping those ministering in villages/tough settings with little or no theological education is a necessity if the churches/ people are to grow and become strong in their faith, defending themselves against fabricated attacks.
Duration: It is a one-year theological extension program. It is divided into 16/20 modules depending on course adopted. Each course shall consist of 18 contact hours of instructions. Each module is independent in itself. Classes are arranged approximately every 6 weeks excluding periods of harvest/sowing or other such hindrances in the field. The frequency of the classes can be adjusted (more or less often) according to the particular situation in the field. Each module will be 3 days long with 6 hours of instruction per day (Tuesday- Thursday) excluding lite exercises/assignments; Friday’s are set for exam only.
Amenities: The host church/organization shall be responsible for arranging the facilities for the program – furnished classroom (with basic facilities), food and accommodation for the teacher, including travel 2 A/C travel fare or flight fare if beyond 500 kilometers.
Admission procedure: Churches/Organizations or any groups who are desirous of getting their workers/evangelists/pastors (men & women) trained in theology & ministry skills can look for this program. A minimum of 10 candidates will be required for a program. Anyone who is able to read and write Hindi will be admitted to this program. At the beginning of the program, the candidate shall fill out an admission form with personal and other details, and supply a photograph and copies of his/her academic certificates.
However, only those who have cleared class X will be given a Diploma in Ministry/Diploma in Intercultural Studies (depending on the program adopted) on successful completion of all the 16/20 respectively modules. Others may be given a Certificate in the Bible & Ministry or a Certificate of achievement in the Bible & Ministry, depending on their performance and academic education. Since it is an extension program, a single candidate cannot apply (special consideration can be taken in special cases).
Location: Classes can be conducted in any state/city/village in the main land of India.
Graduation: The graduation ceremony is conducted at the student’s own location, and on demand, it could also be conducted in the seminary.
